Springer and ISOBM sign co-publishing agreement -

STM publisher Springer, Germany, has signed an agreement with the International Society of Oncology and BioMarkers (ISOBM) to co-publish the journal Tumor Biology. Starting in January 2010, the global publisher will publish the journal six times a year electronically and in print. Professor Torgny Stigbrand from Umeå University, Umeå, Sweden, will serve as editor-in-chief.

Tumor Biology publishes original research, mini-reviews and commentaries on translational cancer research. The journal places special emphasis on articles covering all aspects of tumor markers and tumor targeting, but studies in other areas of clinical and translational cancer research are also included. Following a multidisciplinary approach, Tumor Biology seeks to provide an important platform for cell and molecular biologists, developmental biologists, pathologists, clinical oncologists and any researcher involved in the study of tumors.

The ISOBM is an international society that seeks to bridge the gap between basic science and clinical application. It provides a forum for discussion and development of novel approaches to clinical problems in cancer. Through annual meetings and antibody workshops, the society aims to support communication among scientists, clinicians and commercial groups.
