STM publisher Springer has announced a partnership with the Japanese Society of Applied Entomology and Zoology. Under the deal, Springer will publish the society's official journal Applied Entomology and Zoology as of January 2011. Dr. Eizi Yano of Kinki University in Nara City, Japan, will serve as the editor-in-chief.
Published quarterly, Applied Entomology and Zoology covers applied entomology, applied zoology, agricultural chemicals and pest control. The journal examines insect pests, animal pests, natural enemies, beneficial insects, beneficial animals and more.
Springer will publish Applied Entomology and Zoology in both print and electronic formats, starting with Volume 46, Issue 1. Articles will be published in Online First in full text via www.springerlink.com, Springer's online information platform. This ensures immediate distribution of the electronic version of the article before it appears in print.
