The Journal of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, a Springer publication, has announced an affiliation with the American Society of Pharmacometrics (ASoP), starting in 2012. Publishing six issues per year, the journal presents cutting-edge research for pharmaceutical scientists in industry and academia.
The Journal of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics is devoted to illustrating the importance of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacometrics in the understanding of drug action, therapy, design, development and evaluation. Most papers published illustrate and apply their findings to real-world observations in animals and/or humans. The journal will also include proceedings of the Society's annual meeting. Dr. William J. Jusko from the University of Buffalo, State University of New York, USA, serves as the editor-in-chief of the journal.
The American Society of Pharmacometrics (ASoP) seeks to promote the discipline of pharmacometrics, broaden its impact through scientific innovation, advance the integration of knowledge and skills across disciplines, and foster a positive impact on biomedical R&D. The society offers a central organisation for the integration of national and international pharmacometrics communities, initiatives, consortia and educational activities.
