Springer Nature partners with GlomCon Foundation on open access journal Rare Kidney Diseases -

Springer Nature has been selected as the publishing partner for the GlomCon Foundation’s fully open access journal, Rare Kidney Diseases.

The GlomCon Foundation, described as a non-profit consortium of clinicians and experts dedicated to advancing education and research in rare kidney diseases, is expected to begin accepting submissions to the journal in early 2026.

Rare Kidney Diseases is planned as a peer-reviewed journal intended to serve as a global platform for research, clinical practice, and innovation related to rare and complex kidney diseases.

The journal will publish reviews, editorials, clinical insights, controversies, pathology correlations, methodological advances, and novel artificial intelligence applications relevant to rare kidney diseases.

The partnership reflects continued investment in rare kidney disease research and the establishment of a journal focused on diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The collaboration supports expanded access to research for scientists and clinicians working in the area of patient health and well-being.
