Springer Nature has been selected as the new publishing partner for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s (AASM) official publication, the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. Beginning January 2026, the journal will be published under the Springer Nature imprint.
The Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine focuses on original research with direct clinical relevance to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. This agreement supports both organizations' emphasis on disseminating high-quality, evidence-based medical research. Established in 1975, AASM is a professional society representing over 9,500 members and more than 2,300 accredited sleep centers.
The transition aims to enhance the journal’s visibility and impact while supporting researchers and clinicians in the field of sleep medicine. The journal includes peer-reviewed scientific investigations, reviews, and commentaries related to sleep health and treatment. The new partnership is expected to strengthen the journal’s reach and streamline the publication process through Springer Nature’s publishing infrastructure.
