STM publisher Springer has announced that it is set to publish the French journal on traffic and transport safety, RTS - Recherche Transports Sécurité. RTS is the official journal of the French institute of science and technology for transport, development and networks IFSTTAR (Institut français des sciences et technologies des transports, de l'aménagement et des réseaux). The journal was previously published by Lavoisier.
Published quarterly, RTS - Recherche Transports Sécurité aims to consolidate its position as the leading information resource in the field of transport and traffic. RTS is an important platform for publishing papers on basic and applied research as well as articles with a practical focus. Authors can now submit papers through an electronic manuscript system and can follow the status of their publication at http://www.editorialmanager.com/rtse.
This cooperation between Springer and IFFSTAR extends their existing partnership set up in 2009, when Springer founded the ETRR - European Transport Research Review, an IFFSTAR journal published in English. RTS will benefit from Springer's well-networked distribution channels, enabling the journal to increase its readership and enhance its visibility in the international French-speaking research community.
