STM publisher Springer, Germany, has announced the addition of the Journal of Cancer Education (JCE) to its journals publishing programme. Published on behalf of the American Association for Cancer Education and the European Association for Cancer Education, the journal features a varied editorial board made up of MDs and PhDs who support the dissemination of information on improving cancer education worldwide. Dr. Joseph F. O'Donnell of the Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, USA, will serve as editor-in-chief.
A quarterly publication, the Journal of Cancer Education presents research that aims to improve current cancer education techniques, to solve problems that exist in educating patients and to strengthen existing education programmes. International in scope, it serves as the ideal source to inform physicians, dentists, nurses, students, social workers as well as patients and the general public about various aspects of cancer education.
Articles include original research papers; commentary; book and media reviews; and announcements of educational programs, fellowships and grants. A special column called ‘Reflections’ relates to the human aspects of dealing with cancer and cancer patients and their families.
