Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health has announced that St. Luke's Medical Center-Global City is among the first in the Philippines to adopt UpToDate, the evidence-based clinical decision support resource used by over 850,000 clinicians worldwide.

Recognized by the Diplomatic Council as one of the best hospitals worldwide, St. Luke's relies on UpToDate to play a central role in its efforts to consistently provide excellent medical care to residents and visitors to the Republic of the Philippines.

With hospitals in Global City and Quezon City, St. Luke's Medical Center offers a state-of-the-art approach to healthcare that combines the expertise of locally and internationally trained doctors and medical professionals with industry-leading technologies. Part of an elite group of hospitals accredited by the Joint Commission International, St. Luke's is also a teaching institution with its own college of medicine.

In addition to hosting several international symposia and conferences each year to help more than 1,000 clinicians stay current on the latest advances in medicine, St. Luke's continuously evaluates technologies to maintain clinical success rates on par with the best healthcare institutions in the world. UpToDate is a central component of this strategy, providing clinicians with point-of-care access to current and authoritative clinical information and actionable evidence-based recommendations on more than 9,000 topics in 22 medical specialties.

St. Luke clinicians find UpToDate particularly helpful with unusual and complex cases, helping them make diagnoses and treatment recommendations with a high level of confidence. It is also used to prepare for patient meetings, for patient education and during all department conferences to review recent cases.
