STM publisher IOS Press, Netherlands, and Swets Gateway, the special publisher services division of Swets, recently reached an agreement to market and disseminate IOS Press journals in the Asia Pacific region. Swets Gateway will, on behalf of IOS Press, serve as its exclusive sales and marketing representative in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brunei and New Zealand.
This agreement will provide IOS Press with an unparalleled sales and marketing partnership that will allow the publisher to vigorously pursue sales opportunities. It will help the company further strengthen its position in territories that were previously outside its ability to serve well.
Launched at the 2008 Frankfurt Book Fair, Swets Gateway builds upon Swets' many years of experience in selling publisher content in numerous parts of the world, including successful publisher related operations in Turkey and Africa, as well as its innovative Gateway To China programme which has been active since 2004.
