Syngene ties up with CAS for unlimited access to research tool SciFinder -

Chemical information provider Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society, has signed a three-year deal with contract research organisation Syngene International, India. Under the deal, CAS will provide scientists at Syngene with unlimited access to its chemistry research tool, SciFinder. Syngene is part of Indian biotech firm Biocon Ltd.

SciFinder is projected to offer Syngene the scope and depth of chemistry required by scientists in today's global enterprises. With daily updates to database content, Syngene scientists are expected to gain timely information to advance their research.

Using SciFinder, all Syngene scientists will gain access to the CAS REGISTRY, one of the largest collections of disclosed chemical substance information, now totalling more than 61 million unique small molecule substances. SciFinder also provides Syngene scientists with access to global patent information, enabling quick and reliable searches to help them identify research options and make more novel breakthroughs.

Syngene scientists can also expect to benefit from SciPlanner, a new SciFinder feature that enables scientists to more quickly identify synthesis options for designing the best research pathways and approaches.
