Taylor & Francis and the National Institute for Materials Science announce new publishing partnership -

Academic publisher Taylor & Francis Group and the National Institute for Materials Science have announced a new publishing partnership for the journal Science and Technology of Advanced Materials.

Publishing as an open access journal, Science and Technology of Advanced Materials will cover a broad spectrum of materials science research including functional materials, synthesis and processing, theoretical analyses, characterisation and properties of materials. Emphasis is placed on the interdisciplinary nature of materials science and issues at the forefront of the field, such as energy and environmental issues, as well as medical and bioengineering applications.

The mission of STAM is to provide an open discussion forum, managed by scientists to make significant scientific progress in materials science. According to David Green, Publishing Director International at Taylor & Francis Group, this partnership between National Institute for Materials Science and Taylor & Francis will marry excellence in research with excellence in publishing services, increasing the global impact of Science and Technology of Advanced Materials.
