Publisher Taylor & Francis (T&F), UK, has announced a co-publishing partnership with VGTU Journals, based at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania. Under the deal, ten journals will be co-published for 2011, with three further titles joining in 2012.
VGTU Journals publishes 17 journals spanning Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Planning and Transport. Seven journals in the co-publishing partnership are included in, or accepted for, Thomson Reuters' Journal Citation Reports. Transport is now the top ranked journal in the Transportation Science & Technology category with an Impact Factor of 2.552.
Taylor & Francis' Stockholm office will provide local liaison and support, while the company's international Marketing networks will ensure that the journals content is seen, read and cited by active researchers around the world. The journals will benefit from Taylor & Francis' InformaWorld platform, gaining new functionality such as forward citation linking and advanced online publication of articles through iFirst.
Online submission and review will also be established via ScholarOne Manuscripts, making peer review more efficient and enhancing outreach to international authors. Back issues of the journals will be digitised and made available to subscribers online.
