Academic publisher Taylor & Francis, UK, has announced that it will publish Hydrological Sciences Journal – Journal des Sciences Hydrologiques from Volume 55 in 2010. The journal will also be increasing frequency from six to eight issues per year.
Hydrological Sciences Journal is the official journal of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS). It publishes original, peer-reviewed research in both English and French, by and for hydrologists. Editors Zbigniew W. Kundzewicz and Demetris Koutsoyiannis are supported by an international board of Associate Editors. The scope of the journal covers hydrology, all components, of and impacts on the hydrological cycle, and also erosion and sedimentation by water; climate–hydrology interrelationships; hydrological extremes and their impacts; measurement and modelling of hydrological processes; and water resources systems, including the planning, engineering, management and economic aspects of applied hydrology.
Taylor & Francis will move the journal to its informaworld platform. The journal will benefit from HTML versions of articles, forward citation linking and online publication of articles ahead of the print issue through iFirst. A Manuscript Central online submission and review system will also be set for the journal to further speed the peer review process.
