Academic publisher Taylor & Francis, UK, has announced that it will publish the journal Lake and Reservoir Management (LRM), beginning in 2009. The journal is the official journal of the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS).
Published quarterly, LRM presents original articles on lake science and economic and social issues pertaining to lakes and watersheds. The journal publishes peer-reviewed studies of lasting value to those concerned with lake and reservoir management. Articles address the management of lakes and reservoirs, their watersheds and tributaries, along with the limnology and ecology needed for sound management of these systems. The journal welcomes case studies that advance the science of lake management or confirm important management concepts. Papers on economic, social, regulatory and policy aspects of lake management can also be published with appropriate supporting data.
Authors may also submit shorter notes that add to an important and documented base of knowledge or that conveys important early results of long-term studies. Thematic issues are published occasionally and present a selection of articles concerned with a particular lake or topic.
