EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that the Texas Tech University, a member of the Association of Research Libraries, has chosen EBSCO Discovery Service™ (EDS) as its discovery solution.
As part of Texas Tech's continuing effort to make searching its library resources as easy and comprehensive as possible, they have chosen EDS to offer students highly-refined relevancy ranking, instant access to full text and a fast, single search of the library's vast collections.
Texas Tech is also taking advantage of some of the options for customisation within EDS to tie the discovery service into the look and feel of the library. EDS enables libraries to tailor the discovery experience to meet the needs of their end users. Sites are able to place their branding and colours into EDS to ensure consistency with our other web pages as well as integrate popular widgets, add custom search boxes and create subject profiles.
EBSCO Discovery Service creates a unified, customised index of an institution's information resources, and an easy, yet powerful means of accessing all of that content from a single search box-searching made even more powerful because of the quality of its relevance and value ranking technology.
