Global Advances in Health and Medicine, LLC and the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health have announced the recent acquisition of the medical journal Global Advances in Health and Medicine by the Consortium.
The Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health, a membership comprising more than 70 academic health centers and systems in North America with a mission to advance the principles and practices of integrative medicine and health within academic institutions, will partner with SAGE Publishing to produce and distribute Global Advances in Health and Medicine worldwide under an open-access model.
Global Advances in Health and Medicine is a peer-reviewed scholarly medical journal launched in 2012 as part of a global, multimedia communications platform within Global Advances in Health and Medicine, LLC. Under the Consortium's leadership, the journal will continue publishing continuously online. Content from the past four years, including important research articles, case reports, and special issues will continue to be available through the journal's website currently online at www.gahmj.com.
The journal invites submissions on integrative medicine and health, lifestyle and behavioural medicine, including basic and applied research. An announcement concerning how to submit papers for potential publication will be made soon and posted on both the Consortium's website and the journal’s website www.gahmj.com.
Publication under the new ownership will begin in the first quarter of 2017.
