The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. have announced a publishing partnership for AAPM's prestigious portfolio of scholarly journals in medical physics. With over 8,000 members globally, the AAPM is one of the largest and most highly regarded professional organisations for researchers and scientists working in medical physics and related fields.
From January 2017, Wiley will assume publishing responsibility for AAPM's flagship publication, Medical Physics, and its pioneering Open Access journal, Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics.
For over 50 years, the AAPM has been the leading scientific and professional organisation in medical physics and related fields through its impactful publications, scientific meetings, educational programs, and government affairs initiatives. In keeping with the AAPM's mission, the partnership will expand the global reach and visibility of the AAPM's publications and provide exciting new services for AAPM members, authors, readers, and editors. AAPM's community will also benefit from Wiley's enhanced online experience focusing on mobility and discoverability by delivering innovative digital and technological capabilities.
