The American Geographical Society selects Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group as new publisher of Geographical Review -

The American Geographical Society (AGS) has selected Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group as the new publisher of its longest running journal, Geographical Review (GR). First published in 1915, Geographical Review is the successor to The Bulletin [and Journal] of the American Geographical Society which began publication in the 1850s. The refereed geographic quarterly journal publishes authoritative and original research articles focused on geography with special issues dedicated to specific geographical topics. The journal is currently edited by Dr. David Kaplan, AGS Councilor and Professor of Geography at Kent State University.

The American Geographical Society is a 21st-century learning society dedicated to the advancement of geographic thinking, knowledge, and understanding across business, government, academe, social sectors, teachers and students. AGS aims to enhance the nation’s geographic literacy so as to engender sound public policy, national security, and human well- being worldwide.
