The BMJ Group and the Ministry of Health in Brazil partner to provide Best Practice to clinicians across the country -

Medical information provider The BMJ Group, UK, has announced a major new partnership with the Ministry of Health in Brazil. Under the deal, the BMJ Group will provide its evidence based clinical decision support tool, Best Practice, to 350,000 clinicians across the country.

The partnership has been agreed in conjunction with international distributor, Dotlib and CAPES, the government arm responsible for graduate education in Brazil.

Key government initiatives to promote health and quality of life in Brazil include integrating emergency care services, improving access to low-cost essential medicines, and expanding family health networks to tackle public health issues. The partnership with the BMJ Group will help support the government’s drive for quality improvement and better outcomes for patients.

Doctors across Brazil will now be provided with the latest evidence, expert opinion, and guidelines. This is projected to help clinicians make more informed and faster diagnostic and treatment decisions for their patients.

The BMJ Group has continued to flourish, particularly in international markets - securing major partnerships in the US, India, China and right across Europe and the Middle East - over the last 12 months. Its globalisation strategy has resulted in significant investment in local business hubs in the US and India, and there are imminent plans to expand further into China, the Middle East and Brazil.
