Led by Founding Co-Editors-in-Chief Professor Heang-Ping Chan and Professor Issam El Naqa, and supported by a large international Editorial Board of experts in AI, the journal welcomes submissions across the journal's scope and considers the following article types: Original research; Systematic Review; Review; Pictorial Review; Opinion; Technical Implementation; Data Resources for AI; Guidelines and Recommendations; and Practice and Policy.
The journal opened for submission in October 2023, and has published its first volume and issue in March 2024. BJR|Artificial Intelligence will follow a continuous publication model, whereby one volume and issue are published each year. All published content will be published under an open access CC BY licence, meaning the articles are free to all to read, share and reuse, as long as appropriately attributed.
