CEA selects MyScienceWork to develop tools for knowledge management projects -

MyScienceWork has announced that the CEA - the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission has selected the Sirius solution to establish ‘Proof of Concept’ for the extraction of information from scientific records. MyScienceWork’s expertise and the advanced technologies Sirius relies on offer the CEA a powerful, upgradeable and expert solution.

The Sirius solution will be implemented in order to facilitate the extraction of information from PDF files and specifically named entities (authors, places, organizations...); concepts: terms and scientific expressions linked to CEA jobs (in French and English); links quoted in publications references; links between author and reference; and links between author, country, and entity.

The extracted data will be used to link together related information - for instance, concepts from the documents to authors, or co-authors of the same publication.

Created in 2016, Sirius is a data science service that supports all the scientific sector stakeholders (research centers, universities, publishers, innovative companies…) to automate the metadata production and the classification of files; upgrade research and navigation within a data corpus; evaluate scientific production; and analyse and compare its positioning.

Based on powerful and upgradeable technologies, Sirius merges automatic treatment expertise of natural language and machine learning, and adapts its algorithms for each different project.

Brought to you by Scope e-Knowledge Center, a trusted global partner for digital content transformation solutions - Abstracting & Indexing (A&I), Knowledge Modeling (Taxonomies, Thesauri and Ontologies), and Metadata Enrichment & Entity Extraction.
