The Independent Scholarly Publishers Group (ISPG) is pleased to announce the renewal of its exclusive agreement for representation in Mainland China with The Charlesworth Group. The renewed agreement now includes representation in Hong Kong.
ISPG is a coalition of 20 independent HighWire hosted publishers of 51 journals and related academic content that promotes, markets to, and negotiates with library consortia, hospitals and other organisations around the globe. The Charlesworth Group has successfully negotiated agreements for the ISPG collection with important new customers in China. These include institutions such as The Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, China Medical University and Nanjing Medical University.
Last year, the director of the ISPG, Tom Taylor, was hosted by The Charlesworth Group on a trip to China, where he conducted seminars at prominent Beijing medical institutions. He introduced the curators, librarians, medical researchers, and others who attended the seminars, to the world-renowned ISPG journals and also shared the top trends in publishing. As a result of the enthusiastic response, Tom will return to China early this summer to conduct further seminars with key staff from The Charlesworth Group.
