The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Lyu Zhaoping, executive secretary of CAST and Nigel Fine, chief executive and secretary of the IET signed the MoU on behalf of both sides.
Both parties have decided to deepen cooperation in three aspects - “Innovation China” platform, STM journals and international academic exchanges. They also agreed to broaden China-EU cooperation in science, technology and industries, promote exchanges and share resources of engineering and technologies to make the “Innovation China” platform more open to the world.
They would share experiences in open access and publishing to promote China's scientific and technological community better communicate with their international peers and upgrade China’s STM journals to the first-class ones in the world.
The two sides would make efforts to give full play to the common value of scientific and technological community to promote cross-border industrial technological exchanges and talents mobility to better meet the demands of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
