Accucoms, a Netherlands-based provider of sales and marketing services to scholarly and society publishers, has announced that it has been selected by the UK-based Geological Society of London to sell subscriptions to the Society's Lyell Collection and other Earth science content to customers across the UK and Europe.
The Lyell Collection was created to mark the Society's 200th anniversary in 2007. It represents one of the largest integrated collections of online Earth science literature available. Bringing together the Journal of the Geological Society, Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology, Special Publications and key book series on a single electronic platform, the Lyell Collection is projected as a unique resource for researcher and student alike. It includes over 14,000 peer reviewed articles and has a full text archive back to 1845.
Accucoms offers publishers worldwide a sales representation service that includes face-to-face selling, account management, representation at library events, telesales and local language marketing activities.
