The Journal of Nursing Administration named official leadership journal of the Magnet Recognition Program -

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of Wolters Kluwer Health, have announced a joint marketing agreement between the Magnet Recognition Program and The Journal of Nursing Administration (JONA). Beginning with the October 2011 issue, JONA will become the official leadership journal of the Magnet Recognition Program.

The Magnet Recognition Program was developed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to recognise healthcare organisations that provide nursing excellence. The programme also provides a vehicle for disseminating successful nursing practices and strategies.

Under the agreement, attendees to ANCC's National Magnet Conference will receive an annual subscription (print and online) to JONA as part of their registration, beginning with the onsite distribution of the October 2011 issue. Additionally, JONA content will be available to members of ANCC's new Magnet Learning Communities. A representative from the Magnet Recognition Program will join the JONA Editorial Advisory Board of JONA and the Magnet program will also contribute a monthly column to the journal titled 'Magnet Perspectives' starting in October.
