The Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) has signed an institutional membership agreement with Frontiers, a leading open-access publisher, to simplify the publishing process for eligible researchers at the centre. The agreement also offers a 10% discount on article processing charges (APCs) for the researchers.
By joining Frontiers' institutional membership program, ZRS Koper aims to support its researchers in making their research more widely available to the research community and the general public. This move will encourage more ZRS Koper researchers to publish their work as open-access articles, which will lead to an increase in the volume of freely accessible research.
This institutional agreement means that eligible researchers from ZRS Koper can publish in any of Frontiers' journals with a simplified process. The researchers will be required to select "Science and Research Centre Koper" in the payment information section ("Frontiers institutional members") while submitting their article. Frontiers will verify the eligibility of the researchers with the library and, upon confirmation, the APC will be paid by ZRS Koper upon acceptance.
The new agreement provides an opportunity for eligible researchers at ZRS Koper to benefit from a simpler publishing process, reduced costs, and wider dissemination of their research. Open-access publishing also helps researchers to increase the visibility and impact of their research by reaching a wider audience.
The institutional membership program offered by Frontiers is designed to support academic institutions in making their research outputs openly accessible. The program provides institutions with a simplified publishing process, discounted APCs, and other benefits.
