Ingram Content Group Inc., US, has announced an agreement with STM publisher Thieme Medical Publishers. Under the deal, Thieme has selected Ingram's CoreSource platform for facilitating the archiving and distribution of e-content to partners worldwide.
Ingram's CoreSource is an easy to use, one-stop, online solution for the storage, management, and distribution of digital content. CoreSource delivers a secure, searchable content repository and a high-capacity data distribution network, allowing publishers to move digital content easily and swiftly from their organisation to any channel partner globally.
Thieme Publishers will supply frontlist and backlist books through Ingram's platform. Utilising CoreSource, Thieme will deploy an entire new collection of multi-format content and will subsequently gain the flexibility to repurpose and re-version all new content published for health professionals and students globally.
Thieme publishes 137 peer-reviewed journals and over 500 new books annually. The company also has a rapidly growing array of web-based products in medicine and science. State-of-the-art online products include Thieme eJournals, Thieme Electronic Book Library, the medical student website WinkingSkull.com and Thieme Teaching Assistant, an innovative web-based platform for faculty.
