ToxPlanet, a division of Timberlake Ventures, Inc., a North Carolina-based holding company, has announced that it has acquired Expert Publishing (ExPub) from EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO). The deal adds the premier provider of up-to-date, decision support chemical information for the global product stewardship, toxicology and chemical safety communities to ToxPlanet's line of solutions.
ExPub products are designed to help companies and agencies that use or regulate chemicals save time and money by providing a single platform for users to find the latest, up-to-date documents on chemical hazards and toxicology on demand. ExPub databases provide access to over seven million documents containing comprehensive human and/or environmental hazard data needed to manage the impact of chemicals in the workplace or on the environment.
ExPub provides more than 150 collections containing millions of documents from government and licensed sources covering more than 400,000 unique substances and accessible via 2.25 million chemical names and synonyms. Databases include: ChemEXPERT™, ReproEXPERT™, ListEXPERT™, DrugEXPERT™, PoisonEXPERT™, R2 – REACH Registrations, and MSDSonline®.
Owned by EBSCO since 2010, ExPub has seen double-digit annual growth, introduced multiple new products, and increased its unprecedented depth and breadth of content.
