Twelve journals from the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) are now hosted on the SciOpen platform, following a new partnership with Tsinghua University Press (TUP) finalized earlier this year. The agreement is expected to enhance global visibility and access for AIMS’s titles in science, technology, and medicine (STM).
The portfolio of English-language journals includes titles such as AIMS Mathematics, Communications in Analysis and Mechanics, Mathematics in Engineering, Electronic Research Archive, Networks and Heterogeneous Media, AIMS Agriculture and Food, AIMS Energy, AIMS Environmental Science, AIMS Geosciences, AIMS Materials Science, Mathematical Modelling and Control, and AIMS Electronics and Electrical Engineering. All titles are indexed in SCIE, ESCI, or Scopus and collectively feature more than 2,000 articles. By migrating to SciOpen, AIMS aims to improve discoverability and reach a wider international readership.
SciOpen, launched by TUP in 2022, provides end-to-end publishing services, including manuscript submission, peer review, content hosting, analytics, identity management and AI-enhanced workflows. The platform is designed to support global research dissemination and ensure uninterrupted digital access.
Leaders from both organizations highlighted the strategic value of the move. Lei Shi of TUP emphasized SciOpen’s role in enabling frictionless sharing of academic content, while AIMS director Shouchuan Hu noted the potential for broader engagement with global authors and readers.
