Educational publisher Jones and Bartlett Publishers, Inc. (J&B), US, has announced the first two titles in the new Ugly's Electrical Reference Series - Ugly's Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E and Ugly's Referencias Eléctricas.
Ugly's Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E is the first pocket-sized summary of recently approved NFPA 70E 2009 as well as current OSHA regulations, and the 2008 National Electrical Code. With the industry's increased emphasis on electrical workplace safety, this reference guide has been designed to provide quick access to - and clear explanations of - the most critical safety codes, standards, and regulations. The title focuses on the safety requirements of electrical systems operating at or below 600V, and includes safe electrical work practices, personal protective equipment and life-saving first aid procedures. J&B is co-publishing this title with the National Fire Protection Association.
Ugly's Referencias Eléctricas is based on Ugly's Electrical References. The Spanish translation covers critical industry topics most requested by electrical professionals for the country's rapidly growing Spanish-speaking workforce. Ugly's, which was first published in the late 1970s, is completely updated for today's codes and standards. It features many resources that make it what is claimed to be the industry's best-selling pocket reference, including mathematical formulas, National Electrical Code tables, wiring configurations, conduit bending and voltage drops.
The next titles in the Ugly's series include Ugly's Electric Motors and Controls; Ugly's Electrical Calculations; Ugly's Electrical Desk Reference, 2008 Edition; and Ugly's Residential Wiring.
