Unbound Concepts and Baker & Taylor partner to help publishers improve discoverability of K12 content in classrooms and libraries -

Technology company Unbound Concepts and Baker & Taylor, a worldwide distributor of digital and print books, have announced an exclusive partnership to help teachers, librarians and curriculum buyers search, identify, and discover content to best serve students in the classroom and library.

Baker & Taylor will integrate and display Unbound Concepts' newly launched flagship business offering - Artifact Access. While traditional metadata includes subject, author, publisher and other basic information, Artifact Access allows publishers and their customers to search, browse, discover or describe their text using topics, themes, educational characteristics, literary elements, teaching standards and more utilizing the extensive artifact taxonomy.

This partnership enables Baker & Taylor to integrate Artifact into their platforms and serve their publisher partners by exposing critical elements within K12 content that meet the increasing requirements of buyers in school and library markets.

This partnership announcement at the 41st annual meeting of the Educational Book and Media Association (EBMA) is in line with the Association's mission to foster a unique community that brings together a wide range of wholesalers and publishers in order to address the book and media buying needs of the educational marketplace. Unbound Concepts and Baker & Taylor are providing a useful discovery tool and community voice to publishers who supply books and other materials to schools and libraries.
