The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Bavarian State Library (Munich), on behalf of the German Research Foundation, Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), have completed a nationwide licensing agreement for legacy content from the Society's peer-reviewed Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO).
Under the agreement, JCO's Legacy Archive content will be available to universities and other publicly-financed research institutions in Germany. The institutions will gain access to over 5,000 articles published in 192 issues of JCO between 1983 and 1998.
The deal is part of a German initiative to improve access to specialised electronic resources for over 170 universities, research institutes and academic libraries, financially supported by DFG and coordinated by major research libraries like the Bavarian State Library.
