Universities Australia and Thomson Reuters renew purchasing agreement -

The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters has announced that Universities Australia has renewed the purchasing agreement that allows 36 members access to the Thomson Reuters Web of Science database for three additional years. This ensures that researchers have access to high quality scientific literature.

This renewal marks the 10th year of the partnership with Thomson Reuters. Universities Australia is the peak body representing Australian universities. It supports the vital role played by scientific research in promoting the economic and social wellbeing of all Australians.

In addition to extending access to Web of Science, Universities Australia renewed members' access to Journal Citation Reports, to measure research influence and impact at the journal and category levels, as well as initiated access to Book Citation Index, an additional database within Web of Science.

Web of Science is a Web of Knowledge database that offers a true cited reference index, which is one of the best tools for discovery and claims to be the only method for retrieving accurate citation counts.
