University of Colorado Boulder adopts Altmetric Explorer for Institutions platform -

Alternative metrics provider Altmetric has announced that the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) has implemented the Altmetric Explorer for Institutions platform to help monitor and report on the online attention and engagement generated by CU Boulder institutional research activities and publications.

Explorer for Institutions collates research mentions from news media, policy bodies, social networks, blogs, Wikipedia and post-publication peer-review forums as well as Scopus and online reference manager Mendeley to provide item, author, departmental and institutional level insights to how CU Boulder research is being received and shared amongst a wider audience.

The data available to users via the Explorer platform are updated in real time, providing an up-to-date record of the online attention for over 5 million research outputs from institutions around the world as well as those published by the institution. Author and departmental listings are linked from the CU Boulder Symplectic Elements instance and are updated automatically as new items are added.

Brought to you by Scope e-Knowledge Center, a world-leading provider of metadata services, abstraction, indexing, entity extraction and knowledge organisation models (Taxonomies, Thesauri and Ontologies).
