Library solutions provider Ex Libris Group, Israel, has announced that the Hesburgh Libraries of Notre Dame in conjunction with its colleagues in the Michiana Academic Library Consortium have selected the Primo discovery and delivery solution to serve as a major library portal.
An Ex Libris customer for over 10 years, Notre Dame was the first North American institution to implement the Ex Libris Aleph integrated library system. Since then, Notre Dame has gone on to acquire the SFX OpenURL link server, MetaLib gateway and metasearch portal, Verde e-resource management system, and DigiTool digital asset management system, all from Ex Libris.
Primo claims to be a one-stop solution for the discovery and delivery of local and remote resources, such as books, journal articles, and digital objects. It assists libraries in exposing the richness of their collections and engaging users with an up-to-date discovery and delivery experience.
