The University of Toronto Press (UTP), Canada’s largest university press, has announced a strategic partnership with Hopkins Press, one of the most prominent university presses in the United States. This collaboration significantly broadens UTP’s campus representation services, enhancing access to a diverse range of international scholarly works and course materials across North American colleges and universities.
Under the partnership, UTP’s sales team will now represent Hopkins Press titles alongside its own during campus visits, both virtual and in person, across Canada and the United States. This initiative marks a pivotal expansion of UTP’s services, enabling them to represent international publishers for the first time.
The partnership builds on a successful collaboration established in 2022, when UTP Distribution began handling Hopkins titles in Canada and Hopkins Fulfillment Services managed UTP titles in the U.S. Additionally, both presses have a long-standing relationship through Project MUSE, a key platform for disseminating academic content.
UTP’s longstanding expertise in supporting scholarly and professional societies, combined with this new venture, reinforces its commitment to providing students and faculty with high-quality educational resources. This alliance aims to strengthen the availability of valuable content for academic and trade audiences alike across North America.
