Wiley acquires higher education titles from Key College Publishing -

Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced that it has acquired a list of higher education mathematics and statistics titles from Key College Publishing, the higher education division of California-based Key Curriculum Press. The sale allows Key Curriculum Press to concentrate on the K-12 market, particularly on the growing use of technology in the classroom.

Key Curriculum Press is a leading publisher of inquiry-based textbooks, software and supplemental materials for elementary, middle and high school students. This acquisition brings to Wiley 27 new mathematics and statistics titles and a number of award-winning authors - many of whom are among the most esteemed mathematics and statistics educators in the US. The titles will further strengthen Wiley's current mathematics list, growing its offerings in the topics of introductory statistics, liberal arts math, and calculus.

Among the titles and authors that are moving to Wiley as part of the acquisition are: The Heart of Mathematics, by Edward Burger of Williams College and Michael Starbird of the University of Texas, Austin; Workshop Statistics, by Allan Rossman and Beth Chance of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo; and Calculus, by Brian Blank and Steven Krantz of Washington University.
