Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. has announced a new publishing agreement with the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP). Under the contract the company will publish the ALPSP journal, Learned Publishing from January 2016 through December 2020.
Membership of ALPSP is comprised of journal publishers, book publishers, learned societies and professional bodies, database publishers, university presses and intergovernmental organisations, as well as consultants, typesetters, software and platform vendors, printers and distributors. The ALPSP has more than 330 member organisations around the world including Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), New Phytologist Trust and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
Learned Publishing is the official journal of the ALPSP and publishes on a quarterly basis. ALPSP members receive complimentary copies of this publication that focuses on issues of concern to the international learned publishing community.
Peer review will be the theme of the January 2016 issue, and member organisations are invited to submit case studies, original research, reviews, perspectives, opinions and all other information about how it can be improved, where it is going wrong, and any experiments that journals have undertaken.
