Wiley-Blackwell and APS announce publishing partnership -

Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced a partnership with the American Physiological Society (APS). Under the deal, Wiley-Blackwell will publish the latter's Physiology Online, an evolving compendium of current knowledge of all aspects of physiology. The publication will be launched online in January 2010.

Physiology Online will have as its starting point the 30,000 pages of published content in the renowned APS Handbook of Physiology series. This existing material will be augmented via the publication of quarterly issues containing new and updated contributions from research leaders in the physiological field. Physiology Online will be accessed via a customised interface to Wiley InterScience, Wiley-Blackwell's online publishing platform (www.interscience.wiley.com).

This partnership reinforces Wiley-Blackwell's already prominent position as publisher for more than 750 society partners. The collaboration between the APS and Wiley-Blackwell enables the equivalent of tens of thousands of pages of research and analysis to be rendered continually up to date and easily accessible to users on one dedicated state of the art website.
