Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc, US, has announced a partnership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Under the deal, Wiley-Blackwell will publish the latter's journal, International Journal of Language and Communication Disorders (IJLCD), starting in 2011.
The RCSLT is the professional body for speech and language therapists in the UK and has over 14,000 members. It is responsible for setting, promoting and maintaining high standards in education, clinical practice and ethical conduct in the discipline. Together, Wiley-Blackwell and the RCSLT will develop the journal to benefit all those working in speech, language and communication careers - in their learning, teaching, research and professional practice.
The partnership is seen to further strengthen Wiley-Blackwell's already prominent position as publisher for more than 750 society partners, including many allied health associations and professional bodies working globally.
