Wiley-Blackwell announces publishing partnership with Cognitive Science Society -

Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced a publishing partnership with the Cognitive Science Society. Under the deal, Wiley-Blackwell will publish the latter's flagship journal, Cognitive Science. In partnership with the global publisher, the Society will also launch Topics in Cognitive Science, an innovative new journal that will focus on emerging areas in cognitive science. Both journals seek to bring together researchers from a range of fields who are dedicated to understanding the nature of the human mind.

Cognitive Science has been a premier journal in the discipline of cognitive science for the past 30 years. The journal publishes articles in all areas of cognitive science, such as knowledge representation, memory processes, natural language understanding, brain theory, motor control, and other areas of interdisciplinary research.

Topics in Cognitive Science will feature multiple scholarly papers dedicated to a single topic. Some of these topics will appear together in one issue, but other topics may appear across several issues. However, the format and origin of the topics will vary greatly. The journal will publish its first issue in 2009.
