Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced renewal of its publishing agreement with the Physiological Society for the Journal of Physiology (JP) and Experimental Physiology (EP). The Physiological Society is the not-for-profit learned Society dedicated to the advancement of physiology globally.
The partnership reinforces Wiley-Blackwell's already prominent position as the 'place to be' for the life sciences. Publisher for over 750 society partners, the global publisher continues to provide the scholarly community with access to the highest-quality content available.
The Journal of Physiology publishes original research papers in all areas of physiology illustrating new physiological principles or mechanisms. Papers on work at the molecular level, at the level of the cell membrane, single cells, tissues or organs and systems physiology are all considered, with an emphasis on human and mammalian physiology. Rapid reports receive an accelerated review and publication, reflecting the expectation that these papers should be of particularly high interest and importance.
Experimental Physiology publishes articles in most areas of physiology. The journal covers physiological and pathophysiological questions that investigate gene/protein function using molecular, cellular and whole animal approaches. It publishes methodological papers and computational modeling manuscripts that further our understanding of physiological processes.
