Wiley-Blackwell set to publish the Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry -

Wiley-Blackwell, the scientific, technical, medical, and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced a new agreement to publish the Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry on behalf of Heterocorporation. Wiley-Blackwell will assume publishing responsibilities beginning with Volume 46, Issue 1, in January 2009.

The Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry is a pioneering publication for synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry research in the area of heterocyclic chemistry. Established in 1964 by Professor Raymond N. Castle, the journal publishes new works on any aspect of heterocyclic chemistry, including comprehensive research describing the synthesis of novel new biologically active heterocyclic compounds. In 2001, the journal became one of the first chemistry journals to offer online structure searching within its articles. The journal publishes 6 issues per year and contains fully reviewed primary papers, reviews, and heterocyclic preparations, which show the synthesis of a single compound or a series of analogues.

Wiley-Blackwell will publish the Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry in print and online via Wiley's online publishing platform, Wiley InterScience (www.interscience.wiley.com). The publisher will provide online access to articles in advance of print publication via its EarlyView service and also continue to provide the journal's unique online structure search facility.
