Wiley-Blackwell to publish ten American Counseling Association journals -

Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and Scholarly (STMS) publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has partnered with the American Counseling Association to publish the latter's ten formerly self-published journals, beginning in 2012.

The Association, which currently manages nineteen chartered divisions, and has nearly 45, 000 members, has been in operation since 1952, and claims to be the world's largest association representing professional counselors in various practice settings. The ACA contributes significantly to the counseling field and successfully lobbies for counselor licensure in all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico. Additionally, they provide counseling programs at times of national tragedy to the general public.

The ten journals that Wiley will publish are: Adultspan Journal, The Career Development Quarterly, Counseling and Values, Counselor Education and Supervision, The Journal of Addictions & Offender Counseling, Journal of College Counseling, Journal of Counseling & Development, Journal of Employment Counseling, Journal of Humanistic Counseling and Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development. Additional information on the journals programme is available on the ACA website.

In 2012 Wiley-Blackwell will make all of the content from the ACA's ten journals available through Wiley Online Library, the new online platform, with capabilities such as digital table of content alerts, event and news notices, and exclusive member access.
