Wolters Kluwer acquires IntelliLearn, enhancing nursing education solutions -

Wolters Kluwer Health has announced the acquisition of IntelliLearn Pty Ltd., a provider of online courseware solutions tailored to nursing schools in Australia and the United States. Under the agreement, IntelliLearn will be integrated into Wolters Kluwer’s Health, Learning, Research & Practice (HLRP) business, which develops educational and practice-focused resources for the nursing profession.

The addition of IntelliLearn’s offerings expands the Lippincott suite of nursing education products, particularly in areas such as medication safety and medical math. Julie Stegman, Vice President and General Manager of Wolters Kluwer Health, Learning & Practice, highlighted that the acquisition allows the company to broaden its range of training modules designed to prepare nursing students for clinical practice.

IntelliLearn, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Adelaide, Australia, provides cloud-based educational solutions currently used by institutions in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States. The company brings seven full-time employees and a network of contract workers to Wolters Kluwer Health.

Wolters Kluwer anticipates the acquisition will achieve a return on invested capital (ROIC) exceeding its weighted after-tax cost of capital (WACC) within three to five years. The acquisition is projected to have an immaterial impact on Wolters Kluwer’s adjusted earnings.
