Wolters Kluwer and American Heart Association extend long-term publishing partnership -

Wolters Kluwer, a global provider of information and point of care solutions for the healthcare industry, has extended its successful publishing partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA). In place for nearly two decades, the longstanding partnership has evolved beyond traditional print publishing to include web and mobile platforms, as well as open access.

Eleven AHA Journals are part of the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) journal portfolio, including six Circulation specialty journals that were added in 2008. Under the partnership, which started in 1998, publishing services have expanded to include iPadĀ® apps for each journal, which have been downloaded more than 133,000 times since their introduction.

In recent years, the publishing services provided by LWW to AHA Journals further evolved with the introduction of an open access option for funders and researchers worldwide who wish to make their articles available to non-subscribers. In 2014 alone, there were 58 million journal downloads and published articles cited 363,000 times.
