Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health), US, has announced it has completed the acquisition of Pharmacy OneSource. Pharmacy OneSource is a healthcare Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider that helps hospitals to manage the complex challenges of patient safety, compliance and efficiency. The agreement to acquire Pharmacy OneSource was announced in November 2010.
The acquisition is part of WK Health's strategy to drive growth in the point-of-care market, which includes the critical area of the hospital pharmacy. The transaction will allow the company to extend its Clinical Decision Support (CDS) solutions into the hospital pharmacy market and will further strengthen the company's leadership position in the growing point-of-care market.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
