Wolters Kluwer, Heath, in collaboration with the Academy of Aquatic Physical Therapy of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), will publish The Journal of Aquatic Physical Therapy beginning with the online publication of the January/April 2021 issue. JAPT is the ninth APTA journal added to the Lippincott portfolio.
As co-editors, Dr. Yasser Salem and Dr. Anita VanWingerden will leverage the industry-leading publishing resources of Wolters Kluwer to achieve their goals of taking The Journal of Aquatic Physical Therapy to the next level as an internationally recognized publication in Aquatic Physical Therapy Research.
The full-featured website can be accessed on mobile devices and the new website offers methods to track history, easily save articles, and access all of the archived issues.
The Journal of Aquatic Physical Therapy is the primary peer-reviewed, indexed resource for dissemination of research and scholarly work related to the field of aquatic physical therapy. With an emphasis on implications and applications for therapy practice, the journal promotes the integration of evidence into theory, education, research, and practice related to the field of aquatic therapy. The journal is dedicated to the development advancement of aquatic therapy through publication of research and scholarly work related, but not limited to, scientific bases, integration of theory into education, translation of clinically relevant knowledge, clinical application, and education of clinicians.
