Wolters Kluwer, a global provider of professional information services, is participating in India’s One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) program, a government-led initiative aimed at expanding equitable access to international research resources.
Launched on January 1, 2025, ONOS provides centralized national access to scholarly publications from 30 international publishers. The program targets more than 6,500 government institutions, including higher education and central research bodies, serving approximately 18 million students, faculty, and researchers. Approved for implementation through 2027, ONOS is designed to strengthen interdisciplinary academic activity across the country.
As part of its contribution, Wolters Kluwer is offering access to Ovid, its digital research platform. Ovid integrates a broad collection of full-text journals, eBooks, bibliographic databases, and research tools into a single interface. The platform is used across clinical, academic, and research institutions for evidence-based study and decision-making support.
The Government of India views ONOS as aligned with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020, particularly in supporting innovation and knowledge development in multidisciplinary fields. The collaboration with Wolters Kluwer under this program is intended to extend the reach of international scientific literature to a wider segment of the academic and research community.
