STM Publisher World Scientific has announced the signing of a new memorandum of agreement with the Nobel Foundation to publish the latest series of Nobel Lectures in all subjects - physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, economic sciences and literature - from 2006 to 2010. World Scientific broke new ground in the early 1990s when it signed a memorandum of agreement with the Nobel Foundation to publish the entire series of Nobel Lectures in all subjects. The company looks forward to more fruitful collaboration with Nobel Media, a Nobel Foundation subsidiary, in the coming years.
Previously, the company had published and distributed the Nobel Lectures series (1901-2005) worldwide, making accessible the scientific, literary and humanitarian achievements of numerous Nobel laureates to a wide audience.
As part of the company's promotional efforts, many memorable book launches with these Nobel laureates as speakers have been organised, reaching out to a wider audience of both professionals and students. These events have provided students the opportunity to be both inspired and challenged to think deeply on a subject.
